DSLNG has obtained all the necessary permits required under Indonesian laws and regulations to implement its development and operational plans, including an AMDAL (Environmental Impact Analysis) from the Ministry of the Environment, a Temporary Processing Permit from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, a Special Port Location Permit for an LNG Jetty, and a Special Port Construction Permit for an LNG Harbor from the Ministry of Transportation.
DSLNG is fully committed and aware of the significant of implementing high standards for environmental, health, safety, and social aspects, which in relation to that, DSLNG had obtained the following permits:
The liquefaction plant has the capacity to produce two million tons of LNG per year which use the proven technology of Air Products and Chemicals Inc. (APCI) to liquefy the natural gas.
The plant construction which started from 2011 was completed with good safety record. The plant started its operation in 2015 with the first LNG cargo shipment, to Arun LNG Terminal in Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam Province of Indonesia, was inaugurated by the President of the Republic of Indonesia on 2 August 2015.
